A Place to Call Home
For the residents of TLC, a home is more than just a place to live—it’s where they can truly grow, connect, and thrive. While many of us find joy in creating our homes, TLC residents depend on us to provide a space that is not only accessible and comfortable but also uniquely their own.
We have completed Phase 1 of the modernization of the residential section of our 9-acre campus—our new residential home, which will prioritize care for our most medically fragile clients—and are embarking on Phase 2: the renovation of two existing residences to create a new “Residents Village.” TLC’s Residents Village will bring people together. Residents will enjoy the sense of community that is so important to each of us. The Village will feel like a neighborhood, enriching lives by creating more opportunities for connection through beautifully and intentionally designed spaces.
June Noland has been a beloved resident at TLC’s Moore residence for an incredible 43 years, making her one of TLC’s longest residential clients. Born in Asheville, June’s family was told she would only live about ten years. She came to TLC at age 13 when her mother was diagnosed with cancer and could no longer care for June in their home. Since then, her family has witnessed her thrive, thanks to the exceptional care she receives. Her brother and guardian, David Noland, shares that TLC’s caregivers keep the family closely informed and have helped June live her best life. He’s excited about the new ICF building renovations, knowing June will love the fresh space!

The new TLC Residents Village will offer residents a familial place that is welcoming and thoughtfully designed to meet their unique needs. It’s a place where they can experience the independence of daily routines and the dignity that comes from having a space that truly belongs to them.
For the dedicated staff of TLC, these renovations are more than just updates—they represent a dream workspace that will empower them to perform their roles more efficiently. Expanded laundry facilities, improved offices, and enhanced nursing stations are just some of the long-awaited upgrades our staff has envisioned since the beginning of this project.
